The Copa America 2024, the 48th edition of the tournament, will be co-hosted by Conmebol and Concacaf in the United States from June 20 to July 14, 2024.

URUGUAY “La Garra”

This jersey draws inspiration from Uruguayan national symbols and the Rio de la Plata culture, as well as its significant football victories and the glorious history of the Charrúa spirit. The garment is crafted entirely from polyester + elastane fabric, providing a perfect fit and feel. The back features mesh fabric for optimal breathability and airflow. The crest is made of thermosealed TPU plastic, with embossed detailing. It includes Senda logos and the number "10" applied in vinyl.

Q&A Session

For the shooting of the eight jerseys, we had the pleasure of working with fans from each of the eight selected countries (2 countries by group). And since we wanted to learn more about them, we held a Q&A session.

 Montevideo, Uruguay

Where did you grow up?
Montevideo, Uruguay

Any interesting facts about yourself?
They say I look like Messi; I have a tattoo of the Uruguayan flag on my ankle which is pretty cool. I love football for football's sake, not for a team.

What cultural tradition from your home country do you still maintain?
Mate and football.

Which football club do you support?
I'm a good neutral with a preference for Club Nacional de Fútbol (Montevideo).

Who is your football idol?
Diego Forlán.

Do you have any superstitions when supporting your national team?
All of them! Whatever comes naturally, tournament after tournament. Where to watch, standing or sitting; I watched the 2010 World Cup squatting because it "worked".

What is your favorite memory with your National team?
World Cup in Russia. I was able to attend several group stage matches and the victory against Portugal in the Round of 16.

Which match do you remember the most from your National team?
Victory against Ghana in South Africa 2010.

How is soccer experienced in your country?
More than a religion, sometimes too much fanaticism. With romanticism towards the past and history.

Excluding your own team, which team would you like to win this edition of the Copa America?
USA.
