ABOUT NACIONAL

Founded in 1899, Club Nacional de Football is a first-division soccer club based in Montevideo, Uruguay.  In domestic tournaments, “el Decano” won 48 titles in the first division, including the 2020 season which was the last one.
Domestic cups won include Copa de Competencia (8 times) and Copa de Honor (7 times), among others.

At the international level, Nacional won 22 titles recognized by FIFA and CONMEBOL  including 3 Copa Libertadores. 

Luis Suarez is back!

A few days ago, Nacional announced the return of one of the top scorer players in the world: Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan star striker has returned to the club where he began his career 17 years ago. Many fans waited for him upon arrival at the airport in Montevideo. Suarez thanked them whose massive social media campaign to bring him back proved decisive in his decision.
