2024 Concacaf Futsal Championship: Senda ft. US Team Ambassadors

Nicaragua hosted the 2024 Concacaf Futsal Championship from April 13-20, with every match held at the Polideportivo Alexis Argüello in Managua. Senda proudly supported its three ambassadors playing for the US team, which reached the quarterfinals.

The 8 participant in the Concacaf Championship included Costa Rica, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Panama, the United States, Guatemala, and Mexico. 

Teams that reached the semifinals earned automatic qualification spots for the World Cup, filling the available slots for the FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024™ set for September 14-October 6 in Uzbekistan.

On Saturday, April 20, Panama lifted the golden trophy for the first time, defeating Cuba 4-3 in a thrilling final. Guatemala secured third place after a 3-0 victory over Costa Rica. With these results, the lineup for the FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024™ was completed.

The qualified teams so far -for the FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024- are Angola, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, France, Guatemala, Kazakhstan, Libya, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Panama, Paraguay, Portugal, Spain, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Venezuela. The AFC Futsal Asian Cup will still be played in Thailand in the coming days.

The Concacaf Futsal Championship was first held in 1996, and it is held every four years. The hosts have included Guatemala (4 times), Costa Rica (3 times), and Nicaragua (1 time). The champions have been Costa Rica (4 times), United States (2 times), Guatemala (1 time), and Panama (1 time).

The United States claimed the gold in 1996 and 2004. In the latest edition, held in 2024, they reached the quarterfinals, where Senda proudly supported its three ambassadors: Nilton De Andrade, Alencar Ventura-Junior, Manuel Andrade. Additionally, as ussoccer_ent posted, "Nilton de Andrade scored his team-leading fifth goal of the tournament, tying him with Dennis Brose (1996), Jeff Davis (2000), and Matthew Stewart (2008) for most goals by a U.S. player at a single Concacaf Futsal Championship."
