About Women's Futsal Copa America
The Women's Futsal Copa América is South America's most important national team futsal tournament, organized by CONMEBOL. Since its first edition in 2005, there have been nine tournaments leading up to 2025. Brazil has historically dominated, winning eight titles, while Colombia was crowned champion in 2015. Argentina has had a strong presence in the tournament, finishing as runners-up in 2011, 2019, and now in 2025. They also secured third place in 2005 and 2017.
The 2025 tournament, held in Sorocaba, Brazil, brought together the best national teams in South America for a competition of the highest caliber. Argentina faced a challenging path to the final, with memorable victories like their 3-1 comeback against Paraguay in the semifinals. Despite falling to Brazil in the final, La Albiceleste made history by securing their spot in the inaugural FIFA Women's Futsal World Cup, set to take place in the Philippines. This edition of the Copa América was also historic as it was the first time the tournament served as a qualifier for the World Cup.

Over the years, the Women's Futsal Copa América has been hosted in various South American cities, including Barueri (Brazil) in 2005, Guayaquil (Ecuador) in 2007, Campinas (Brazil) in 2009, Maracay (Venezuela) in 2011, Canelones (Uruguay) in 2015, Las Piedras (Uruguay) in 2017, Luque (Paraguay) in 2019, Buenos Aires (Argentina) in 2023, and Sorocaba (Brazil) in 2025. This tournament not only reaffirmed Brazil’s dominance in women’s futsal but also showcased Argentina’s growing competitiveness on the international stage.
For Senda, the pride is immense—not just because our ambassadors shined on the court with their talent and determination, but because they did so while representing the values we stand for: effort, fair play, and passion for futsal. This achievement is not only a milestone for the Argentine team but also for the growth of the sport and the impact of brands like Senda that are committed to supporting women's futsal every step of the way.
We will continue to stand by our players on their road to the World Cup, supporting their preparation and celebrating their successes. Onward and upward, #TeamSenda!
