Diego is the former head coach of Argentina’s National Team thatwon the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup.For the last 4 years, he was the coach of El Pozo Murcia in the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Sala in Spain, the best league in the world. Nowadays, he is the head coach of the Vietnam National Futsal Team.

As a professional futsal player, he played at clubs like River Plate (Argentina), Firenze (Italy), and a couple of clubs in the LNFS (Spain). He was also part of Argentina's National Futsal Team, disputing top-tier tournaments like Copa América 2003 which they won, and the FIFA Futsal World Cups 2003 (Spain), and 2008 (Brazil). He also participated in the Pan American Games held in Rio de Janeiro in 2007.
